A foldable iPad mini

Despite the clickbait title I really enjoyed a recent video by Marques Brownlee where he explored the idea of an iPhone that turns into an iPad mini.

I use an iPhone Pro Max alongside my iPad Mini (6th generation). Each are things I use daily, and the mini is my primary device for sketching designs. As Marques described the thereotical future of a foldable iPhone I realized the potential. I could carry around a phone that opened up to double in size, and use an Apple Pencil with it.

That’d be amazing! I wouldn’t mind the square aspect ratio, and could see myself justifying the cost of just using a single device.

I, of course, would hope that the crease wasn’t an issue. Trying to sketch across a physical line is less than ideal.

That said, I’m incredibly excited for my iPhone iPad combo.
