Don't look, do look
I’m sure I’m not the only one that’s had this feeling.
You have a stressful communication that you have to handle. Back in the day that was mostly via email. But now it’s on Slack or the like.
The stakeholder or client wants something, you have to push back or ask for something else. So you type up the message, craft it to perfection, press send, and immediately close out the program.
Then it sits in the back of your mind, right beneath the surface. You don’t want to know the answer, but you kind of do. You can let it ride till the next day, or you can check it after hours.
In these moments it’s ok to recognize the feeling of angst, embrace it, and take action on it.
