Best Buy's Presidents' Day sale kicked off yesterday, and we've already covered all of the iPad discounts you can find during the event. Today, we're focusing on MacBook Air deals, including a new all-time low price on the M2 model.

There’s some weird loophole to get down to the $749 price for this laptop, but you can also get it for $799 on Amazon.

This is amazing. I was complaining recently about base models for Apple, and I’m so happy to see that something so good is so cheap. It’s of course a short-term discount for a holiday. But the point stands that you can get a perfect laptop for most people’s needs for under $1,000.

Sure, that’s more than a cheap Windows notebook. But those things are rubbish. I can whole heartily recommend this for anyone who isn’t a programmer or designer or video person (and even in the case of a designer it would work in a pinch).

It will last for years and keep up with most anything thrown at it.

If you aren’t sure what laptop to get you’ll want this one.

Now if you know it doesn’t work for you, then the Pro models exist for a reason. Longterm I want to always be on a MacBook Pro, just because it’s my daily driver and my entire career exits on it and the extra bits of performance matter. But for most other people an Air is the perfect device.
