Shod at all times

I don’t like to be barefoot.

I’ll put up with it at the beach, and accept it when I’m in the water.

In bed I recognize it’s value, and in transitions from the shower to getting dressed I see its nesessity.

But given the choice I’ll always wear footwear.

Where we live it’s rude to wear shoes inside. I answer this by bringing slippers wherever I go.

Even now I’m sitting in a relaxed chair wearing socks and slippers.

In the summer I don’t have to wear socks, so I have flipflops on at all times.

It may be a tactile thing, but I don’t like the feeling of having dirty feet. I always wash my feet after wearing slippers, and cannot stand a bed with dirt in it.

If you too feel the same I encourage you to try the way of never shoeless. There’s no shame in it.
