Stop your Mac from turning on

Apple designed Macs with Apple silicon chips to automatically turn on and start up when the Mac's lid is opened or when the Mac is connected to power, but there is a workaround in macOS Sequoia if you don't like this behavior.

I misread this the second and third time. I thought it was solving another problem I’ve wrestled with, namely that I want to clean my keyboard with my all-too-expensive cloth. But good to know there’s a solution for another issue.

With that said, the cloth is amazing. It falls into the comical category of things that cost far more than is even reasonable, but once you own it you enjoy the use every time. That’s squarely where my AirPods Max falls.
