The limits of advice, and having your own thoughts

This is where the reality of advice and research sets in. It’s all a bit of a gamble. You hope that whomever is offering you tips on what to buy has the same requirements, taste, and budget you do.

I see so many people enjoying something online, only to be told that it’s no good

So well put. There’s a benefit to reviews. But hearing the advice of others and making decisions based on that is limited.

Someone else might call a movie stupid and corny. For me it might be the best thing I’ve seen in a month because I’m not inundated with the same type of movie day after day.

Sometimes you just need to go try something and see how it works. Maybe it’s not technically perfect, but it’s enough for your needs.
