Times without a screen

The times in my day where I don’t have a screen are rare.

Showering, washing the dishes, running, driving, sleeping, talking with someone. Absent a few specific scenarios the screen beckons. It’s always ready, eager to serve up something interesting (and occasionally useful).

I wrestle with this. I’ve found so much value in screens, but also find my life run by them. I don’t have an answer, but I appreciate the extended periods where I’ve gone without screens and seen the world grow larger and smaller at the same time.
