What it means to be and enjoy life
Apropos of nothing I’ve been considering what a world with less stuff might look like. It’s possible that some items will become more expensive, or nigh on impossible to obtain.
Already the cost of living has inflated drastically since COVID. Things just cost more.
Some items can be reduced, others are necessary.
In all that, as an American (and former proud minimalist) I have to ask myself whether the items I can collect define my happiness, or whether the true thing I claim to care for—connection, curiosity, creativity—will be unemumbered by whims outside my control.
In other words, I’m looking up Boox Palma again.
