Writing the needle
I’ve been wondering recently how more of my words can resonate and be that needle in the haystack, that thing resonating with myself and others.
Then I realized, it’s the same with reading. I read words all day long. Most slide on by, adding little to my life, providing no impact.
But some words stick, and I want more. I try to dig in, read everything the author has said on the topic. They mean something to me.
If the success rate for finding good words is low, then I can expect little less from the words I write. I’m trying to be more grateful for when some words work, and appreciate the other words which are sort of practice runs.
The question then, is how much of this should be public versus private. I’m still undecided on that one.
