Blow drying your hair

There’s a Great Clips right next to the highway I needed to get on to go to the event, and one of the services they offer is a shampooing. I could just go to Great Clips, get my hair washed, hop on the highway and go straight to the event.

Per my selfie collection on Apple Photos it appears I’ve been growing my hair since September 2022. I’ve had a few trims then to fix things up, but overall I’ve been letting it just grow out. With longer hair has come all kinds of things I just wasn’t aware of. Long wet hair in the winter time is no fun. Having hair drip down on my shirt because I didn’t properly dry it off—no fun.

Having longer hair is pretty great. I’m going to grow it while I’ve got it. But I’ve also learned there’s a world of products and care available to you when your hair is longer than about an inch on top.

Of course this is not foreign to much of the world’s population, but it’s new to me. I’ve been getting tips from my wife on various ways to handle longer hair, and now posts about drying your hair and caring for it have my full attention.

I now use the hair dryer daily.
