Filling the empty wells, reducing Apple Watch notifications, helpful meeting notes, designer modes, Freeform wishlist
Despite a crazy week on a personal level, I had a lot of fun with the small moments where I was able to get in writing.
First, I want to say thank you to everyone who reads these posts. It means so much, and as always any feedback is welcome; critical or positive (although the trolls are slightly less welcome).
There’s quite a few pieces I’m happy with this week, but I’ll limit myself to my five favorite:
- Filling the empty wells - What do we do when our creativity is dried up? I’ve found some ways that work for me, and hopefully they’ll help you too.
- Reducing Apple Watch notifications - My watch is a passive device that is not allowed to bug me. Cleaning up some settings might make it more enjoyable for you too.
- Where meeting notes can help - Taking notes in meetings has been a huge benefit to my career. I share a few ways I’ve done it and how it might help you.
- Lo-fi and hi-fi modes as a designer - Finding ways to switch between passive and active creation can help keep design alive and fun.
- Freeform wishlist for WWDC 2025 - Monday is WWDC. I’m most excited for some fixes for Freeform. Here’s to hoping.
Thank you! Until next week.
