Keep it short

Lately I've been reducing the time I spend on business communication by writing shorter and shorter emails and keeping phone calls to a minimum. My time is precious, as well as my client's time. If I can get the appropriate message across in one or two sentences I will. No extra fluff. Often I leave out introductions and signatures and focus on the actual message. I know who I'm writing to, and they know who I am, why worry about formalities. The goal is to free up time to work on actual projects and get back to people quicker.
