I enjoy editing as much as writing; it’s a key component to a polished article. I see a direct correlation on this blog between the amount of time I spend editing a post and its level of quality. After the initial idea and brainstorming I go back over the article and clean it up.
The time required to prepare posts for this blog varies, often it takes an hour. After the initial idea is written I’ll go over it again 5-10 times, pulling it apart, and working to extract the main points. There are rare occasions where the article comes out perfect the first time, but mostly I have to work at it.
The key component in writing is to take the initial idea you’ve created and really work it out, cleaning up the kinks and polishing it till you have an exceptional product.
